Like hell I’m tellin you! [He grins and opens up the box of ornaments and pulls them out one by one. Some of them just generic round ornaments you’d see anywhere, and some of them were special ones that he kept carefully wrapped in bubble wrap.] Besides you don’t know them.
Awwww, come on!! *Groans, throwing her arms in the air dramatically before popping the rest of the cookie into her mouth, her brows knitted together.* I’ll pry it out of you sooner or later anyway. *Huffs, taking hold of one of the ornaments and observing it, tapping a nail against it.* I’ve always loved the christmas time. My momma used to make the best gingerbread cookies. *Smiles at the memory, feeling a pang of nostalgia hit her like a ton of bricks.*
[Mark rolls his eyes at her attitude towards the Wintertime here. And he couldn’t help but laugh at the split second he cut her off from her assumption. He knew she was going to ask if they’re drugged.] Well I made them with… someone kinda special to me and yeah. They’re kinda special to me. [He chuckled and grabbed the only box still out. The one with the tree decorations.]
*Brows shoot up with curiosity, lips pursing as she swallowed before picking up another piece, fixating her gaze on him.* Someone special you say~? *Smirks, nibbling on the cookie.* and who might that someone be~? *Waggles her brows at him as she took a small bite, shifting her weight from one leg to the other anxiously.*
Chels ya really should invest in more Winter clothing. [Mark shrugged out of his coat whenever they got in the house.] Y’ think so? We worked pretty hard on it. [He hung up his coat on the rack by the door and laughed when she asked about the most important business of all, cookies.] They’re in the kitchen on the counter. Don’t eat many of the soldier cookies though. They’re kinda special. [He thinks a moment before confirming to her.] They don’t have drugs they just mean something to me. Tryin’ t’make them last.
*Waves a hand at him dismissively.* Naaah, winter only lasts like a month anyway. These mitts and scarf ought to keep me warm enough till spring. *Unwraps the scarf from around her neck, hanging it on the rack next to his coat.* Why? Are they- *stops mid-sentence as mark denies what she was about to ask, shaking her head with a smile.* The soldier cookies? *Glances at the plate of sugary goodness, noticing said cookies.* Oh, so they hold some sort of sentimental value to you or something? *Grabs a christmas tree shaped cookie, shoving it into her mouth with a satisfied hum.*
Naaah I should have enough. C’mon! [He waves for her to follow him and he grins. This was going to be an interesting afternoon. The two of them walking off towards the island his farm was on.]
*Nods once as she follows along, waddling her way toward farm island, arms folded over her chest to keep from the cold. Once at his door, she sighed with relief as she felt the warmth emitting from his house make contact with the little skin she left exposed. Rubbing her hands together once again, she stepped inside, eyeing the decorated space carefully.* Woah, the place looks great! I’m impressed! *Nods approvingly, giving him a thumbs up.* Now, first things first. *Places a hand on her hip as her eyes scanned the area around her, lifting her free hand to tug at her scarf.* Where are the cookies?
Wellllll I sure try to be! [He laughs and squishes her cheeks with one of his hands, making all the air in her cheeks blow out] C’mon the tree awaits ya girly!
*Pumps a fist in the air, soft giggles leaving her lips.* Gosh, I’m so excited!! Oh wait- *Holds up her index finger.* do you have enough ornaments or should I stop by my place to get some more?
All that’s left to decorate is th’ tree! Already took care of the rest! [His grin grows] I know how y’like to put the star on the tree so I left the tree bare for ya! I also have cookies. Made plenty. Shared some with m’friend and saved some for you. And also- [lightly baps her on the head] be nice to him.
*Lets out a short squeak, clasping her hands together in front of her.* NO WAY!! Awwww Marky~ you’re the best, you know that? *Looks up at him with a huge grin, her dimples piercing her flushed cheeks.*
*Rolls her eyes playfully, huffing.* hff, you’re no fun. *Puffs a cheek.*
[Raises a brow and shakes his head. He could never understand this woman’s antics.] So does that mean yer gonna buy somethin’ or just try and bug me? [Watches as she plops down into the seat and takes a deep breath, it seemed like she was planning to be here a while.]
*Tilts her head to the side, her arms folding on the counter in front of her.* Both. *Lets out a small giggle, shaking her head.* I think I’m finally ready to get my first cow! It’s getting really cold these days so I thought why not give one of those cuties a warm home. *Brushes her bangs out of her eyes, looking up at him.* Can I go pick one now?
Well yeah. I’m inviting one of my friends from out of town. He’s a pretty good friend too. Buuuut I can guarantee one thing. You’re getting the most of the leftovers because I know your weakness for it. [he grins cheekily.]
*Her lips curl up into mischievous grin, a brow quirking.* I’ll get to creep the hell out of him. *Hisses.* Excellent. *Lets out a low chuckle, smirking as ideas flowed through her twisted mind.*
*Claps her hands, nodding.* That’s all I wanted to hear. Now- *Links her arm with his.* What should we start with~? The decorations? The tree? The lights?
